The Habitat ReStore receives building materials, both new and gently used, that have been donated by corporations, home construction companies, and individuals. Items that are not able to be used directly by Habitat for Humanity in their home bulding and repair programs are sold at the ReStore to the general public at 40% to 90% off retail prices. Proceeds from the ReStore go into Habitat's building programs, helping to provide adequate housing and home repairs for local families.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore needs your donations... of almost any items you take out of your home. Especially needed are doors, windows, cabinets (kitchen or other) and working appliances (5 years or less). But any building or remodeling material that's in good shape can be recycled through the ReStore, including unupholstered furniture, saving you dumping costs and providing a tax deduction as well. Equally important, your donations will go back into the community to help people who are upgrading their homes.

Dave Dallas, Matt Espejo and Kelly Duffy represented Habitat for Humanity at Prince William County’s celebration of America Recycles Day on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Prince William County Sanitary Landfill. America Recycles Day is a national educational campaign held to promote the importance of waste reduction, recycling and buying recycled products.
