Donating Materials

Thank you for your interest in donating to the Habitat ReStore. We appreciate your help in providing good building materials at greatly reduced prices and your support in building simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with people in need.

WHAT THE HABITAT RESTORE ACCEPTS AND SELLS
We accept and sell the following residential home improvement materials:

ARCHITECTURAL ITEMS

Mantels, columns, stained and leaded glass windows, etc.

Appliances

We accept dishwashers and wall ovens less than 5 years old or newer and all other appliances 10 years and newer that are clean and in 100% working order. We will test them when they are brought in and if they do not work, will not accept them. Please include owners manuals if you have them, as they add value to your donation.

Cabinets

Must have all doors and drawers. We accept both kitchen and bathroom cabinets in sets or individuals pieces. Must have no structural or water damage.

Doors

Must be in excellent condition, with no rotted wood, separation, broken glass, or peeling paint. NO doors over 84 inches tall.
Pre-hung or slabs

Storm doors must have all tracking

Electrical

Residential electrical items only. No large donations of miscellaneous electrical stock.
NO COMMERICAL ITEMS.

Fans

We accept fans if they are complete and in working condition only.

Flooring material

Carpet must be new and be 10 ft x 10 ft or larger.
Hardwood Flooring with no splitting or cracking, must be at least 25 square feet.

Furniture

Hardwood only in good condition.

Hardware

Complete sets of door hardware, hinges, etc. Any quantity of nails, screws, fasteners, hangers, connectors, etc.

Lighting

Must be complete and in excellent condition. WE DO NOT ACCEPT FLORESCENT FIXTURES OR CAN (RECESSED) LIGHTS!

Lumber • Plywood • Sheetrock • Trim

We accept full and 1/2 sheets of plywood. We accept full lengths of lumber. We will accept trim in smaller pieces, but not less than 4 feet long. Please, no rot or nails sticking out of lumber.

Mirror • Glass

Mirror and glass is accepted if certain conditions apply. Please call prior to donating these items.

Paint • Wallcoverings

Full, unopened non-rusted cans of latex paint only.

Pipe • Pvc • Metal • Copper

We accept 4' and over of any type of pipe, and all supplies and fittings.

Plumbing • TUBS • SINKS • SHOWERS • COMMODES

Must be in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or rust.
Stainless steel and porcelain kitchen sinks.
Pedestal and drop-in bathroom sinks.
Fiberglass bathtubs with no cracks
Complete faucets
Miscellaneous plumbing hardware
WE DO NOT ACCEPT CAST IRON BATHTUBS

Roofing Material • Gutters • Canales

We accept all types of roofing material such as rolled roofing material, tar, metal roofing, bundles of new shingles. We also accept roofing gutter/canale materials that are in full pieces and are not rusty, bent up or damaged.

Tools

We accept all hand and power tools in working condition.

Windows • Screens

Must be complete units (with all sashes and frame) with no rotted wood, cracked glass, or foggy glass.
