Gifts In Kind

Habitat for Humanity is partnering with Gifts In Kind in order to start a new program!  Each week, Habitat for Humanity receives donations from Home Depot.  Some of the merchandise will be used in Habitat for Humanity’s construction programs, but the rest will be given to qualifying families in the community.  

To qualify for the program, you must be a low-income resident of Prince William County, Manassas, or Manassas Park whose income falls below 60% of the Washington Metropolitan Area Median Income based on family size.  Preference will be given to single parents, the elderly and disabled members of the community.

Families and individuals may apply for the Gifts In Kind program by requesting an application online or at the Habitat ReStore in Manassas.  In an effort to expand support in the local community, Habitat is also asking other community and government human service organizations to refer individuals and families in need to the Gifts In Kind program.  If an individual has already been approved to receive aid from another organization due to low-income, all he or she needs is a completed referral form in order to qualify for donations from Habitat for Humanity.

Once an application or referral is submitted, Habitat’s Gifts In Kind Intern, Jessica Baker, will contact the applicant to set up a time to meet and match merchandise to each individual’s needs.
